An excellent alternative for acrylic nails is artificial nails. Artificial nails are easy to use and have a wide variety to choose from. 1. Use Nail Polish Remover

Nail polish removers are made of an acetone solvent which is capable of dissolving or breaking down different material paint, grease, and of course, nail polishes. Acetone nail polish remover can work like a charm in removing nail glue from your skin.

This method is simple and doesn’t require too much effort. The acetone will dissolve the glue, and it will come right off of your skin. The process is easy enough; just take the nail polish remover in a cotton swab or cotton ball and rub it over the glue until it begins to dissolve. Once you are done rubbing it off the skin, use a brush to rinse off the area with soap. Use a moisturizer after it so that your skin doesn’t get dehydrated.

2. Soap and Water

This is the easiest and probably the safest method to remove nail glue from your skin. Submerge your hand in warm water for over a minute. The hot water will soften the glue, and you might be able to peel it off quickly.

We suggest you use water as hot as you can safely stand. Don’t go overboard with the water, as you might end up burning yourself. Make sure the water is at a moderate temperature. Finally, use soap to get rid of the glue residue and pat yourself dry.

3. Petroleum Jelly is a Magic Potion

You may have noticed the versatility of petroleum jelly. Once again, petroleum jelly can do wonders for removing nail glue from your skin. Take a small amount of petroleum jelly and rub it over the glue, preferably in a circular motion. The moisture of the petroleum jelly will loosen the glue from your skin, and it will start to come off. As soon as you feel it coming off, try and peel it gently.

Wash your hands with soap and water to remove the glue and petroleum jelly residue. The good thing about this method is that it hydrates and moisturizes your skin.

4. Lemon Water

Lemon is another daily use item that is highly versatile. It is a great way to remove nail glue from your skin.

Make an equal-part mixture of lemon and water to get the glue off your skin. Keep your hand submerged in the mix for about one minute, and then try to peel off the glue from your skin gently. It should work for most people, but if it doesn’t, you can use other methods.

We hope these methods helped you with your struggle with getting the nail glue off your skin. Don’t forget to moisturize to keep your hands soft and to avoid any irritation.

Best of luck with sticking the nails!
